Miesha Theresa

Miesha Theresa Tate, an American mixed martial arts specialist. She is also an expert in mixed martial arts. Tate participated in the Ultimate Fighting Championships. She was a UFC Women's Bantamweight champion. She was born in Tacoma and has been very active throughout her school days. As she was attending the Central Washington University, she was a member of the mixed martial arts group following a recommendation from one of her friends. When she was 20, she took part in her first amateur bout to Elizabeth Posener, who specialized in Muay Thai. She made her debut as a professional fighter at the HOOKnSHOOT Women's One-Night Grand Prix in 2007. Within two years she won the Women's Champion of the FCF for the first time. Tate received praise and admiration because of her style of combat and her use of Brazilian JiuJitsu and wrestling. Her popularity increased when she received with the Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Championship shortly after. As part of her mixed martial art career, she models for various websites and publications such as "ESPN The Magazine" and "Fitness Gurls".
